Cornflower Petals is a natural ingredient manufactured from dried petals of Cornflower.
Originally from the Middle East, the cornflower is a plant with thin stems, gray-green leaves and beautiful mostly bright blue flowers. Centaurea cyanus, commonly known as cornflower or bachelor's button, is an annual flowering plant in the family Asteraceae, native to Europe. In the past, it often grew as a weed in cornfields (in the broad sense of "corn", referring to grains, such as wheat, barley, rye, or oats).
The cornflower has always been recognized by folk medicine for its ability to treat the eye, but it is, in recent years, also known to soothe and regenerate the skin while refreshing and brightening the complexion.
The use of fine particles also serves to provide a striking visual effect to cosmetic products.
