Microzest 25 Gardenia Blue is manufactured by micronization of fruits dry extract of Gardenia Florida (G. jasminoides Ellis), also known as Cape Jasmine. Gardenia is an evergreen flowering plant of the coffee family Rubiaceae.

It originated in Asia and is most commonly found growing wild in Vietnam, Southern China, Korea, Taiwan, Japan, Myanmar, India and Bangladesh.

With its shiny green leaves and heavily fragrant white summer flowers, it is widely used in gardens in warm temperate and subtropical climates, and as a houseplant in temperate regions.

Gardenias are widely used as exotic ornamental flowers in corsages, as houseplants, and in some regions, as outdoor plants. A yellow silk dye has been made for centuries from the chemical compound acrocetin extracted from the gardenia berry. The blue pigments are edible and are currently being used as a blue food colorant in East Asia.
