GreenTAC®
Natural conditioner as a sustainable replacement of synthetic quaternary ammonium salts
Natural conditioner as a sustainable replacement of synthetic quaternary ammonium salts
INCI
Polyglyceryl-4 Dicocoate/Betainate Lactate
GreenTAC not only provides exceptional emulsifying properties but also promotes the formation of emulsions characterized by long-lasting liquid crystal structures. This ensures that the emulsions remain stable and effective over extended periods, delivering consistent performance and superior sensory attributes.
To evaluate GreenTAC® potential benefits, we measured wet combing forces of hair strands before and after GreenTAC treatment and compared to CTAC.
GreenTAC® reduces wet combing force by 42% and 69% in a dose dependent manner achieving a comparable efficacy to CTAC.
5% – 15% as conditioning agent
5% – 10% as emulsifier*
*FORMULATION TIPS:
• Recommended usage range as emulsifier: oil phase not exceeding 10-15%.
• Heating GreenTAC® in the oil phase is suggested for better performance.
• A rheology modifier in the aqueous phase is required to ensure the stability of the system over time.
• GreenTAC® shows good compatibility with medium/high polarity oils, including vetable oils.

Solubility and Sensory Comparison: Disperses in water and propylene glycol; insoluble in vegetable and mineral oils. Offers similar sensory properties to CTAC but with greater hair affinity.
Wet Combing: Reduces force by 42-69%, making it comparable to CTAC.
Viscosity Control: At 4% concentration, GreenTAC linearly increases viscosity with Cetearyl Alcohol, providing flexibility in emulsion behavior.
Eco-Sustainability and Regulatory Compliance: Biodegradable and environmentally safe, unlike CTAC’s high aquatic toxicity. Non-irritating and widely usable in cosmetics, complying with EU, China, Brazil, Korea, and ASEAN countries regulations.
