EFFICACY TESTS

Pollution-Induced Oxidative DNA Damage Reduction (8-OHdG)

Setup
Human keratinocytes (HaCaT) were exposed to a complex urban dust mixture (PAHs, nitro-PAHs, PCBs, pesticide residues and inorganic particulate matter) and treated with LongeviTEA® (2.5%).

Result
A significant reduction of oxidative DNA damage was observed, with –44% 8-OHdG levels versus stressed control (p < 0.05).

Interpretation
Limiting oxidative DNA damage helps preserve genomic integrity and cellular repair capacity under pollution stress.

Pollution-Induced Inflammatory Pathway Modulation (IL-1alpha)

Setup
Urban-dust–stressed human keratinocytes were treated with LongeviTEA® (2.5%). IL-1α release was quantified as an early inflammation marker.

Result
IL-1α levels were significantly reduced by –57% compared to untreated stressed cells (p < 0.05).

Interpretation
Early modulation of inflammatory signaling helps prevent the amplification of chronic pollution-related skin stress.

Dermal Density Reinforcement (Clinical Study)

Setup
A 56-day, placebo-controlled clinical study was conducted on 20 women (35–65 y) with an outdoor lifestyle. A cream containing 5% LongeviTEA® was applied daily. Dermal density was measured by 50 MHz high-frequency ultrasound at Day 14, 28 and 56.

Result
Dermal density increased progressively, reaching +18.8% at Day 56 (p < 0.05).
An early response was already visible at Day 14.

Interpretation
Improved dermal density reflects reinforcement of extracellular matrix integrity, supporting long-term firmness and inner skin longevity.

 

Together, these results demonstrate LongeviTEA®’s ability to protect skin from pollution-induced molecular damage while reinforcing dermal structure, supporting inner skin longevity under chronic urban exposure.
