Corindon Exfoliator is manufactured from corundum, a crystalline of aluminum oxide. It is naturally clear, and the transparent specimens are used as gems (ruby, sapphire). Its coarse and un-even surface allows accurate and efficient microdermabrasion.
Corundum is a mineral found in metamorphic rocks like mica schist, gneiss, and marble, as well as in low-silica igneous rocks such as syenite. It also occurs in ultramafic rocks, lamprophyre dikes, and pegmatites. Due to its hardness, it often appears in stream and beach sands as a detrital mineral. It does not trigger allergic reactions and is not absorbed by the skin.
The Exfoliator range from Lessonia offers a vast selection of natural exfoliants, meticulously crafted from plant-based and mineral sources such as shells, fruits, seeds, herbs, spices, and loofah. These exfoliants provide various colours, textures, and degrees of abrasiveness, making them adaptable to different skincare products and applications. Whether for gentle facial scrubs or more robust body exfoliations, these ingredients enhance the natural appeal of formulations by improving skin texture, promoting radiance, and supporting cell renewal.
