Phytelephas Aequatorialis seed powder
The Tagua nut, also known as “vegetable ivory,” is a prized resource from the Taguale palm tree found in the Junin region of Ecuador.
After 12 years, the tree produces its first fruit, which has long been used as a sustainable alternative to ivory in jewelry. Harvesting Tagua nuts helps preserve forests, prevent deforestation, and support local communities by creating jobs and improving living conditions.
By grinding and sieving the nuts, we create a natural exfoliant ideal for face and body scrubs, offering both environmental and social benefits.
The Exfoliator range from Lessonia offers a vast selection of natural exfoliants, meticulously crafted from plant-based and mineral sources such as shells, fruits, seeds, herbs, spices, and loofah. These exfoliants provide various colours, textures, and degrees of abrasiveness, making them adaptable to different skincare products and applications. Whether for gentle facial scrubs or more robust body exfoliations, these ingredients enhance the natural appeal of formulations by improving skin texture, promoting radiance, and supporting cell renewal.
