Junglans Regia shell powder
Walnut Exfoliator is made from finely ground walnut shells.
Walnut trees, specifically Juglans regia, have been cultivated in the Grenoble region at the foot of the French Alps since the Middle Ages. These trees grow tall, reaching up to 35 meters, with broad crowns and distinctive smooth, olive-brown bark that becomes silvery-grey with age.
The walnut itself, technically a seed from a drupe, is highly valued both as an edible snack and as an ingredient in skincare. Walnut Exfoliator is known for its natural origin, high abrasiveness, and stability, making it a perfect addition to anhydrous formulations.
The Exfoliator range from Lessonia offers a vast selection of natural exfoliants, meticulously crafted from plant-based and mineral sources such as shells, fruits, seeds, herbs, spices, and loofah. These exfoliants provide various colours, textures, and degrees of abrasiveness, making them adaptable to different skincare products and applications. Whether for gentle facial scrubs or more robust body exfoliations, these ingredients enhance the natural appeal of formulations by improving skin texture, promoting radiance, and supporting cell renewal.
Stable in all types of formulations including aqueous formulations.
The abrasiveness of particles do not change.
The particles do not bleach and do not colour the product.
The Walnut Exfoliator is easy to maintain in suspension.
