SESAMULS® OW is a non-ionic Oil in Water emulsifying systems derived from renewable sources specifically designed to obtain rich and dimethicone-like texture with a powdery skin-feel and easy to absorb.
Used between 3% and 6% as the only emulsifier, it allows to incorporate up to 70% of polar / medium polar oily phase containing natural oils as the sole source of lipids.
Its non-ionic behavior makes it compatible in weakly cationic environment (e.g. balsam and hair cream). Indicated for emulsions in a pH range between 5 and 8, it can work, under certain conditions, even at pH 3.5 and over pH 9.
SESAMULS® OW is considered “readily biodegradable“ and safe for aquatic environment.

4.0 – 6.0% in creams
Ideal for day and night creams, and emultions for sensitive and prone to oiliness skins.

Key Ingredients and Texture: Includes Cetyl Alcohol (RSPO certified) and Malic Acid obtained from apple juice through a proprietary physical process. Ideal for emulsions with a dimethicone-like texture, manufactured via heated processing technique as an alternative to Oil in Water (OW) PEG emulsifiers.
Stability and pH Compatibility: Offers strong stability, excellent resistance to hydrolysis, and is compatible under extreme anionic and cationic conditions across a wide range of pH values (pH 3-9).
Hydrating and Eudermic Properties: Contains sesame oil, providing eudermic properties with high skin absorption, reducing water loss, and proven high hydrating properties.
Emollient and Fragrance Compatibility: Exhibits excellent compatibility with a wide range of emollients and improves fragrance yield in the emulsion.
Ease of Use: Fully dispersible in water and, when melted, miscible in oils, making it easy to use in various formulations.
