ALTER-GELIJAC is a natural gelling agent derived from Amorphophallus konjac, traditionally harvested in China. This plant-based agent is primarily composed of glucomannan, a polysaccharide that forms thick, clear gels in aqueous solutions.

ALTER-GELIJAC is a great alternative to synthetic gelling agents like carbomers, providing a natural solution for thickening and stabilizing emulsions while leaving a protective film on the skin.

THICKENING CAPACITY ACCORDING TO ANIONIC SURFACTANTS

The gel’s viscosity obtained doesn’t change over time,
We observe a change in gel’s appearance with 20% anionic surfactant concentration. The gel becomes more slimy.

THICKENING CAPACITY ACCORDING TO CATIONIC SURFACTANTS

ALTER-GELIJAC can thickens media containing cationic surfactant.
The viscosity of the gels obtained doesn’t change over time.
