Lichen Exfoliator is a natural scrub made from the red algae Chondrus crispus, part of the Rhodophytes family, harvested along the Breton coast of France.
Primarily used in soap formulations, the exfoliating particles remain easily suspended in the product. Rich in carrageenans, it offers moisturizing and softening properties.
Its brown-beige color comes from the drying process, ensuring good product stability.
The Exfoliator range from Lessonia offers a vast selection of natural exfoliants, meticulously crafted from plant-based and mineral sources such as shells, fruits, seeds, herbs, spices, and loofah. These exfoliants provide various colours, textures, and degrees of abrasiveness, making them adaptable to different skincare products and applications. Whether for gentle facial scrubs or more robust body exfoliations, these ingredients enhance the natural appeal of formulations by improving skin texture, promoting radiance, and supporting cell renewal.
Not stable in aqueous forms. Should be used in anhydrous forms only.
The abrasiveness of particles can change.
The particles can bleach and colour the product.
The Lichen Exfoliator is easy to maintain in suspension.
