EFFICACY TESTS

HYDRATION IMPROVEMENT

TREMEL+HA significantly increased skin hydration by 64.41% on average after 3 hours, outperforming hyaluronic acid.

Protocol: 24 women volunteer aged from 18 to 65 years old on the inner forearms. A water solution containing 0,1% TREMEL+HA or 0,1% sodium hyaluronic acid. Determination of the skin hydration with Corneometer CM825.

ANTIOXIDANT ACTIVITY

At 0.08%, TREMEL+HA demonstrated 34% DPPH radical scavenging activity, indicating strong antioxidant properties.

Protocol: DPPH is incubated at room temperature in absence or with increasing concentrations of TREMEL+HA. The absorbance is recorded at 517 nm using UV spectrophotometer. L-ascorbic acid is used as positive controls. Experiments are performed in triplicate.

HYDROPHOBIC FILM FORMING

Water spreads instantly on HA’s film while it remains in droplet on the TREMELA+HA’s film. 2 minutes later, HA’s film breaks and not TREMELA+HA’s film. It suggest that TREMELA+HA forms hydrophobic film and not HA film.

Protocol: Dry the aqueous solution of TREMEL+HA or sodium hyaluronate on a glass plate at room temperature for 24 hours. Drop water on it.

SKIN FEEL COMPARISON

100% of subjects reported no tightness with TREMEL+HA, unlike hyaluronic acid, which caused a tight feeling. TREMEL+HA also formed a more durable hydrophobic film, improving moisture retention.

Protocol: Blind sensory evaluation comparing TREMEL+HA and hyaluronic acid. Solutions at 1% were applied to the skin, and skin feel was assessed after 10 minutes in room temperature.
